GDPR: What academic organisations need to know

The law relating to data protection is going to change next year. From May 2018, the DPA 1998 will be replaced by the General Data Protection Regulation which is often referred to as the “GDPR”. Schools, academy trusts and universities will need to be prepared to ensure that they are compliant with the new legislation.

Following on from our sell-out seminar in October, this repeat event on Thursday 1 February 2018 will again provide an overview of the GDPR with a focus on its practical application. We will also explain the implications of the GDPR from an employment perspective and will seek to dispel some myths that are doing the rounds.

Our speakers will be:

  • Toni Vitale, Head of Regulation, Data & Information
  • Theresa Kerr, Senior Associate

Feedback from previous attendees:

'Good content from knowledgable presenters'.

'An excellent session'

'Very profesionally delivered'
